Information for Authors
If you would like to appear in this directory, we’d be delighted to consider your application. We’re looking for authors who are interested in generating publicity through interviews, talk show appearances, and speaking opportunities in the United States and Canada on all varieties of topics.
You’ve already discovered that your publisher will do very limited promotion of your book. If it’s going to be a success, you have to get out and promote it. That means you need to promote yourself to journalists and talk show producers. And you probably need to speak as well. Speaking engagements can be quite profitable. (We know, it’s not what you envisioned when you were writing your book.)
Experts Index is part of that effort. You still need to do your part to promote yourself. And Experts Index will help you by directing inquiries to you, by directing people to your website, and by giving you credibility.
We promote the website to meeting planners, print and broadcast journalists, and talk show producers.
We will post your photograph, direct contact information, a profile with brief topic descriptions, and topic areas.
While it is not required, we encourage you to submit articles that you have written for our information archive. If approved for publication, these will automatically include a short resource box at the end of the article with a link back to your profile page with your website, your phone number, and an email inquiry form.
We will also list your submitted articles on your profile page which will make it easy for meeting planners, journalists, and talk show producers to learn more about your expertise.
We will refer inquiries directly to you (by email) and we never ask for a commission or marketing fee other than our small annual listing fee.
